問題の内容: HTTPSもしくはSSLを用いてセキュアなWebサーバへ通信する場合、次のようなダイアログが表示されます。
「サーバから提供された証明書が有効期限切れです。」
その後、ユーザは証明書を受理し進むか、あるいは接続を取り消すことができます。 ユーザが受理した場合は、通常時と同様に十分なセキュリティを保持したまま接続を続けることができます。 しかし、実際に証明書の期限が切れているのか、それともこの問題による誤った証明書期限切れ警告かをユーザ側で調査することは困難です。

技術的な詳細情報: 証明書比較に関するプログラムコード中の問題により、デバイスの現在の日付が12月であった場合、証明書が期限切れであるという警告が表示されます。
証明書の内容にかかわらず、警告はすべてのセキュアサイトで発生します。

Advisory: Opera Mobile for Windows Mobile mistakenly declares certificates as 'expired'.

Products affected: Opera Mobile 8.6 for Windows Mobile Sharp W-ZERO3 / Willcom Opera Mobile 8.6 for Windows Mobile Sharp W-ZERO3[es] / Willcom

Security Severity: Low (No data exposed or attacks enabled, but error may be inconvenient for users visiting SSL sites. Additionally, users may be confused regarding the error dialog displayed by Opera.)

Problem description: When trying to connect on HTTPS or SSL to a secure web server, Opera displays the following error: "Server certificate has expired". The user can then accept the certificate and proceed, or cancel the connection. If the user accepts, the communication can proceed as normal with full security. However, it is hard for the user to differentiate between a Certificate that has expired and this situation.

Detailed technical explanation: Due to a problem in the certificate comparison code, all certificates are mistakenly reported as expired if the current date on the device is in the month of December.
The warning comes up on all secure sites, regardless of certificate details.
